Personal Spiritual Journal
(un-retouched)
Satan is so subtle
Never fully showing his hand He never wishes me to simply renounce Christ He’d prefer I ignore him His voice constantly calls to me Not for an evil that is detestable But for one that may look Very much like the good deed The enemy of God is not evil It is the good that is not God And by the good that is not God All society is led away These lesser goods, if enjoyed in The proper place, may be reflections of God But alas, they cry, not like sirens, But as great marketing Planting the seed of something else That leads me away from my king And the lie I believe is that I will gain freedom But alas there is only one freedom And it is found in God I fail to be fully human And am something alien Only in God am I free Free from the bondage of the soul
